Motsweding FM station manager Ben Dikobe has unveiled the short list of eight new voices as likely presenters at the station.

But only three out of the eight will be chosen. The names of those who make it will be announced next month.

The station has been looking for new talents within North West for the past month.

According to Dikobe, in their talent search, they were focusing mainly on women because the station is dominated by men.

"We want to give women the chance to reach greater heights by selling Setswana language to our listeners," said Dikobe.

He said the finalists will not only be presenters, but they will also be taught programming, sales and marketing.

Those who have reached the semi-finals are: Mosetsanagape Dijo, 23, Lesego Lekgetho, 22, Refilwe Madisa, 21, Keitumetse Mahura, 22, Fredah Tlhapane, 24, Madichaba Mokgadi, 21, Tshegofatso Molefe, 21, and Kebarileng Chakane, 23.

Dikobe said the semi-finalists will showcase their talents in the morning and afternoon slots.
