It's exciting that parliament will be hosted at the Saul Tsotetsi Sports Centre in Sebokeng Zone 14 from March 12 to 15.

What bothers me and some of the citizens is the fact that we residents from that area have to suffer or change our daily routines.

This is because specific individuals, whose want to popularise themselves without the involvement of community members at large, will have the opportunity to engage in debates or discussions and to ask questions.

To make matters worse we have to have accreditation to enter our own houses and we have to use alternative routes to enter our zone.

We need name tags before we can enter our zone, and we have to provide a list of people who will or might be coming to visit.

This whole thing is disrupting our lives.

Does the government ever consult before acting?

Does it think about the needs and problems of the people?

If I was to be given a chance to speak, I would love to request the president and his cabinet to review the recruitment policy that discriminates against people who have been dismissed or who have a criminal record.

This does not help to develop an individual.

Rather it makes people more useless because they can't find any employment or even an internship.
