Leandra FC coach Humphrey Sithole lost his third successive game since taking over when his side went down 1-2 to Barberton City Stars in an Mpumalanga Vodacom League encounter at Emjindini Stadium on Sunday.

Sithole joined Leandra two weeks ago, replacing Kenny Ndlazi. His first game in charge was a 3-2 loss to GaRankuwa United in the Absa Cup last-32.

Sithole blamed Sunday's loss on a lapse in concentration.

"I'm impressed with the boys' display today [Sunday], compared to their Absa defeat," he said.

Derrick Machete and Allen Lebyane scored for Stars while Themba Mahlangu replied through a late penalty for Leandra .
