Azapo slams bad services
It is irresponsible for the government to blame "unruly elements" for the increasing violent protests against poor service delivery, said Azapo's publicity secretary Dan Habedi.
He said the government was not confronting the failure by municipalities to deliver quality services.
"The fact is delivery of services for communities has become a beguiling and fading dream.
"This has created a lot of anger and frustration," Habedi said in the wake of violent protests in the North West townships of Bloemhof, Lichtenberg, Moutse and Carletonville.
Municipal officials are blaming criminal and unruly elements in the townships. Some residents support the youth, who are leading the protests.
