Slow Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) registration processes, inadequate worker rights awareness campaigns and clashes between employers and employees could soon be history in the northern Eastern Cape, after the launch of the Domestic Workers Forum in Mount Frere, near Kokstad, at the weekend.

Slow Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) registration processes, inadequate worker rights awareness campaigns and clashes between employers and employees could soon be history in the northern Eastern Cape, after the launch of the Domestic Workers Forum in Mount Frere, near Kokstad, at the weekend.

The forum is set to highlight the plight of workers by allowing community representatives to identify the skills needs within their respective wards. - Staff Reporter
