Free State Stars, Mvela Golden League champions-elect, will be guests of Santos in an Absa Cup last-32 encounter at Athlone Stadium, Cape Town, at 7.30 tomorrow night.

Ea lla Koto are determined to move to the final of the lucrative cup and lift the coveted trophy.

Though they will be playing away from home, the Free Staters concede that they are more comfortable away from their vociferous fans, particularly in a competition of this nature.

They hope to do well at the venue despite the windy conditions that the Mother City is notorious for.

Stars' general manager Rantsi Mokoena remains confident of coming back with a win, which he said will be attributed to the hard working youngsters in the team.

He said the Baymed Cup they won last year was the beginning of big things to come for the team.

"We're meeting a good side that is difficult to beat in Santos, but our mission is to come back with a win. The conditions will suit us," said Mokoena.

Santos won this competition when it was started in 2003, so Stars will have to be at their best to advance.

Mokoena said that they have good players in Jimmy Kauleza, Duncan Lechesa, Theo Sibisi and a number of others who should see their side through.
