My 12-year-old daughter and I spent the weekend at the hotel. She fell in love with it as soon as she laid her eyes on it. The Spur restaurant on the premises, with all the trappings that kids her age love, excited her most.
The finely-furnished bedroom had a homely feel. Sleeping time was happy time. The immaculate, cool room with its firm queen-size bed was thoroughly inviting. Usually hotel beds are a nightmare, but at the hotel the mattress supports you equally on every centimetre. We appreciated retiring to our lovely, sweet-scented room every time we were tired.
The relaxed ambience of the restaurant reflects the sophisticated feel of the hotel with a fresh, unpretentious approach to top quality dining. The staff were friendly and cheerful and they maintained a strict discipline and attitude.
Located 7km from OR Tambo International Airport and a step away from the East Rand Mall, the hotel is the ideal central location for visitors to shop. The idea of walking to a mall knocked me off my feet.
