Silver Stars may be inconsistent in their Castle Premiership lately, but the "Tycoons" are likely to be in an uncompromising mood in the Absa Cup against Jomo Cosmos on Sunday.

They meet in the last-32 stage of the "Cup of Dreams" at Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Phokeng and their encounter starts at 8pm.

Stars are unpredictable in cup matches and the fact that they won the inaugural Telkom Knockout Cup should motivate them against Ezenkosi.

The two teams go into Sunday's clash after contrasting results from their last league matches.

Stars were beaten 1-0 by struggling AmaZulu, while Cosmos beat their hoodoo team Santos 2-1.

"We have to win this match to regain our confidence in our league campaign.

"Cosmos are a very tough team to beat, though," Susan Phala, Stars' publicist, said yesterday.

Andrew Rabutla, Cosmos' manager, is well aware of a testing match awaiting them in Phokeng.

"I will be lying if I say we are not wary to face Stars in their backyard," Rabutla said yesterday.

"We know what they are capable of, especially in cup matches. But we are preparing ourselves well for this match and we will try our level best to give a good account of ourselves."

Stars will be without Hareaipha "Simba" Marumo because of injury.

Daniel Tshabalala, is expected to make things happen for the hosts in the middle of the park and Dale Studzinski is a key player up front.

City Pillars should easily advance to the next round of the Absa Cup at the expense of Bay United at Woolfsons Stadium on Sunday at 3.15pm.

Dynamos and PJ Stars square - up in Giyani in another last-32 clash on Sunday (3.15pm).
