The Polokwane magistrates' court was yesterday forced to postpone the bail application of Munghana Lonene FM DJ, Brian Rikhotso, pictured, because of overcrowding.
The case was postponed to today after it had to be delayed to allow the misbehaving public to vacate the courtroom.
"The court cannot continue its proceedings under these circumstances," said court prosecutor Benny Molepo, referring to the overcrowding.
Molepo said the proceedings will continue today and only the media and family of the accused would attend.
Rikhotso, 27, was arrested together with Samuel Mukansi, 26, for the murder of Pastor Musa Maluleke in Polokwane two weeks ago.
Maluleke was allegedly shot dead and then buried in a shallow grave in Thokgwaneng village.
Mukansi this week told the court that Rikhotso promised to pay him R10000 for the killing. But he said Rikhotso also took part in the killing and the burial of Maluleke.
He earlier contradicted himself in his testimony when he said he shot Maluleke once, and Rikhotso shot him twice.
But he later said Maluleke died from a single gunshot. Mukansi, who sported a clean-shaven head, was alone in the dock while Rikhotso was represented by his lawyer, Ralph Ndleve. The hearing continues today.
