Two drivers were injured in accidents on the East Rand yesterday, Ekurhuleni metro police said.

Spokesman Kobeli Mokheseng said a truck was transporting cold drinks to Johannesburg when the driver lost control and it overturned before the Comaro off-ramp on the N12 in Alberton at 5.30am.

The 33-year-old driver was taken to the Union Hospital. His assistant was not hurt.

Meanwhile, a 21-year-old taxi driver was injured when his minibus was rammed by a truck on the N3 highway in Germiston. - Sapa
