With or without television, the national junior flyweight fight between holder Muvhuso Nedzanani and Mfundo Gwayana will go on tomorrow, says Junior Ramovha.

This date was allocated to Branco Milenkovic, who is using it to stage the junior welterweight championship between SA champion Sam Malinga and Thulani Mkhwanazi at Nasrec Arena.

There were fears that Tshiawelo Boxing Promotions (TBP) would cancel Nedzanani's fight.

But Ramovha allayed those fears and confirmed that the fight will take place at the Thohoyandou Indoor Sports Centre in Venda.

Ramovha, a politician and a vastly experienced administrator, was speaking in his capacity as successor to Hendrick Nengwekhulu.

The latter, who died three weeks ago, was president of TBP.

Nedzanani signed with TBP last year. He had been with Milenkovic who promoted all of Nedznani's five defences. Nedzanani stopped Charit Mukondeleli in 11 rounds in September last year.

The main supporting bout pits Alvin Mahonisi against Lucas Mogane in the junior middleweight division while Pfariso Neluvhalani and Sizwe Nkosi will do battle in the junior featherweight division.

Limpopo fighters Phumudzo Ramagoma and Morris Mutavhatsindi, and Mbulaheni Mudau and Mustard Mangaladzi should thrill fans. Entrance is R50 for ringside seats, R20 for adults and R10 for children.
