A pilot and his passenger are fighting for their lives at Polokwane Medi-Clinic after their light aircraft crashed shortly after take-off in Limpopo this week.
Police said yesterday the plane crashed at Polokwane Municipal Civil Airport opposite Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
The aircraft was "totally wrecked and burnt beyond recognition" but the occupants survived.
Police identified the pilot as Andrian Kruser, of Springs, and the passenger as Andre Carels, of Benoni.
Both are in their early 50s.
