Mpumalanga Vodacom League side Leandra FC's preparations for the Absa last-32 stage have been disrupted by the departure of their coach, Kenny Ndlazi.
Ndlazi, who joined Leandra at the beginning of the season, resigned last Tuesday.
When contacted by Sowetan yesterday, Ndlazi confirmed he had parted ways with the team but declined to dwell on the matter.
"The team management knows my reason for leaving and they can tell the people the whole truth," he said.
"I was doing well with the team and I had laid a good foundation that is visible to anyone.
"I qualified the team for the Absa Cup and we were still hanging in there for Vodacom League promotion if we were to win games we have in hand. For me, Leandra FC is history but I wish the team well."
Leandra FC's director Pat Sengwane said Ndlazi didn't say anything to the team before dropping a bombshell by resigning.
"We are still shock about his decision and we will miss his experience."
Leandra will host National First Division side GaRankuwa United in an Absa Cup clash at Secunda Stadium on Sunday.
