Seven miners have been warned to appear in the Phokeng magistrates' court on March 9 after their arrest in connection with a protest.
It was alleged in court that the miners blocked roads and threw stones at passing vehicles near mine hostels in an effort to demand the instant dismissal of a doctor, John Andrews.
National Union of Mineworkers spokesman Eliphus Ngoepe said Andrews disrespected mine workers' rights.
"Dr Andrews has no respect for patients at the hospital who are our members," Ngoepe said.
The strikers claimed Andrews was holding up the rollout of antiretrovirals.
After the protest, mine management allowed Andrews to address the media instead of responding to their grievances, the union claimed.
"A week later, senior mine officials agreed to withdraw Andrew's statement and the two parties agreed to meet," Ngoepe reportedly said.
