Gay socialite and member of the 3Sum group, Amstel Makwane, is taking legal action against the Department of Home Affairs for refusing to repair his car.

Makwane's car was damaged when a Home Affairs official allegedly smashed into his vehicle in December 2005.

Makwane said the department's failure to repair his Hyundai has left him with no alternative but to file a lawsuit against them.
