Former Zambian soccer international Kalusha Bwalya will share his passion for the game and techniques and skills that have surprised defences all over the world with 18 amateur coaches in the Cape today.

The former PSV Eindhoven star - the holder of 100 Zambian caps and scorer of 50 international goals - will join six of Holland's best amateur coaches. They will coach 18 amateur coaches from six clubs that play in some of Western Cape's poorest regions.

Bwalya will only be available today, but the football development clinic will continue until Friday under the auspices of the Dutch coaches, including Jack van den Berg, who is regarded as Holland's most outstanding amateur coach.

The ground-breaking coaching initiative is part of the Western Cape department of cultural affairs and sport's football development programme for 2010. - Sowetan
