The long-awaited plan to tackle the HIV- Aids pandemic sweeping the country will be presented to the country next month.
This was the promise that Health Minister Manto Tshabalala-Msimang made yesterday during a briefing by cabinet's social cluster in parliament.
The minister still appeared quite ill. She refused to give details of the plan when asked about the role of nutrition and whether it would take into account extreme drug-resistant TB.
The new health plan has been widely criticised by activist groupings. Tshabalala- Msimang said the presentation would be made at the national consultative conference, scheduled for March 15 and 16.
