The Lions have vowed to beat the Crusaders when they clash in a Super 14 match at Ellis Park on Saturday at 6.30pm.

Coach Eugene Eloff made this clear yesterday and said they will continue where they left off against the Highlanders at the weekend. They won 11-6.

Said Eloff: "My boys are ready and to take the reigning champions [Crusaders] head-on."

The home side will have to improve their poor finishing, which was evident when they failed to add points in the second half against the Highlanders after leading 11-6 at the interval.

l Log leaders Sharks will have to be at their best if they hope to stay unbeaten against the Highlanders in Durban on Saturday night. The visitors are known to be spoilers and they will go for broke to get bonus points.

l Following their scintillating performance in a 24-20 triumph over the Cheetahs last week, the Bulls face the tricky Western Force at Loftus tomorrow.

l On Saturday in Bloemfontein, the wounded Cheetahs take on the equally limping Waratahs of Australia, who lost 22-9 to the Sharks last Friday.

l The Reds meet the Brumbies in Brisbane tomorrow and on the same day, the struggling Stormers take on Chiefs in Cape Town.
