Steve Komphela, coach of the South African under-23 national side, said it was not over yet despite their 2-0 win over Uganda in a 2008 Beijing Olympic Games qualifier in Potchefstroom last week.

He said they were faced with one of the stiffest tests of their lives in the second leg in Kampala on March 24.

"We'll be playing under more difficult conditions in Kampala," said Komphela. "It will be an experience for our players who will be playing for the first time in that country.

"We're going to make our players aware that we'll be going to Uganda to fight, so it will be a dog-eats-dog situation," he said.

Komphela said that they will go to Uganda to inspect the area, the accommodation and even the climate.

"We have to give it a go because this is the last hurdle to qualify for the group stages."

The outspoken coach said they had already started with preparations and the team will go into camp on March 10.

Should South Africa beat the east African country in the return match they'll qualify for the group stages that start in June.
