Jacob Dakada is relieved because his problems with the Gautelier Insurance company are finally over.

Dakada said his problems with the insurance company started after he had insured his Nissan Hardbody. He said he cancelled the insurance after the car was paid for. He bought another car and insured it with the same company.

But Gautelier did not cancel his previous policy, and continued to debit his account.

"I complained and was told to write a cancellation letter. I wrote the letter and delivered it to the company," he said.

Dakada said he was refunded the deducted premium on the spot. But the company continued to debit his account because the debit order was not cancelled.

"I have sent more than three cancellation letters," he said.

Within an hour after Consumer Line intervened, Gautelier Insurance paid Dakada his R1289."Sis Thuli, thank you for the inroads you made regarding my complaint. They have refunded me in full," he said. Tips: l Shop around for a company that offers a package you want.
