Angry residents of Madadeni, in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal, say they will take the law into their own hands and kill a rape suspect if police do not immediately arrest him.

Angry residents of Madadeni, in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal, say they will take the law into their own hands and kill a rape suspect if police do not immediately arrest him.

A 37-year-old woman was allegedly repeatedly raped by her stepfather on Saturday.

The community, especially women, have called for police to arrest the man. They say crime has escalated in the township because the police do not do their work properly. - Mhlaba Memela
