Another Pretoria cop has been arrested in connection with a R1million attempted extortion in Lusikisiki, Eastern Cape, about two weeks ago.

The policeman, two colleagues and another man allegedly tried to swindle a local businessman, Salim Moosa, out of R1million during a visit to his business.

Captain Bongani Ngxola alleged that the two policemen produced a fake warrant of arrest for Moosa.

Ngxola said their investigation had linked the third policeman, who did not travel to Lusikisiki with them, to the scam. The accused will appear in court tomorrow. -Stan Mzimba
