The body of an 84-year-old woman was found in the boot of a stolen car driven by two teenagers in Mount West near Nottingham Road, KwaZulu-Natal police said yesterday.

The body of an 84-year-old woman was found in the boot of a stolen car driven by two teenagers in Mount West near Nottingham Road, KwaZulu-Natal police said yesterday.

Rita Burdette was wrapped in linen with a plastic bag over her head, Inspector Joey Jeevan said. There were no visible injuries to her body.

Burdette was a founder member of the Treverton Preparatory School in Mooi River, where she lived, and was last seen in church on Sunday. A postmortem will be conducted to determine the cause of her death. - Sapa
