Moonlighting is just greed

I was particularly thrilled that the SABC has decided to promote the "one- man, one-job" rule.

I was particularly thrilled that the SABC has decided to promote the "one- man, one-job" rule.

Your front page story on Tuesday about SABC presenters who will not be allowed to moonlight was quite intriguing.

Thumbs up to the person who came up with the idea. I was completely puzzled to read "staffers involved are livid". Their reason for doing extra work is to get extra income.

What about the unemployed graduates who are capable and have the relevant qualifications? Moonlighting in one corporation is totally intolerable.

While I fully agree with the SABC, I urge the corporation to employ jobless graduates whose qualifications are decorating the walls of their homes.

Having one person presenting a talk show, reading the news and hosting another talk show on national radio is greedy. Xolani Gwala and Nikiwe Bikitsha are only two of many.

I hope that the SABC move will create jobs for other people because we all want to a piece of that cake.
