Newly crowned South African featherweight champion Ludumo Galada's future has been planned so well that his peers will envy him.

Three local fights have already been lined up for him after winning the national title last weekend.

His backers, co-promoters S'Phatho Handi and Rodney Berman, want to guide him the IBF route.

Handi promotes under Mamale Productions while Berman operates under the banner of Golden Gloves.

Berman enjoys a good working relationship with the top dogs in the sanctioning body.

His charges, such as Welcome "Hawk" Ncita, Vuyani "Beast" Bungu, Philip "No Deal" Holiday, Lehlohonolo "Hands of Stone" Ledwaba, Zolani "Tiger" Petelo and Cassius "Hitman" Baloyi all became IBF belt holders.

Berman's other fighter, Malcolm "The Stone" Klassen, won the IBF belt last year while Takalani "The Panther" Ndlovu has been pencilled in for a showdown with IBF champion Steve Molitor.

It will be first things first for Galada, who made an impression last year by winning the BSA Baby Champs featherweight championship. He will have to convince the IBF hierarchy that he is a force to be reckoned with.

Galada, who outpointed Sydney Maluleka for the vacant title last weekend, could be back in action in April.

The bespectacled Handi, a former member of Boxing SA, said nothing will derail his charge.

"I am positive that the cooperation agreement we have with Golden Gloves will encourage him to make an impression on the IBF bosses," he said.
