'Killers will bounce back'

Batau Killers' coach Macdonald "Bambino" Makhubedu says his side is still in contention to win the Mpumalanga Vodacom men's league crown, despite dropping four crucial points.

Things have not been going well for Killers, who started the league like a house on fire, only to lose form at a crucial stage.

In their last two games they pocketed only two points, after playing stalemates against Walter Stars and MP Highlanders.

"We will fight to the end. The league title is not yet decided. We still have to play log leaders Mpumalanga Black Aces and who knows, the result might change the table," Makhubedu said.

He said they were looking forward to redeeming themselves against FC Spurs, whom they host at Ermelo Stadium on Saturday.

Vodacom fixtures (all starting at 3pm):

Saturday

Thulamahashe: FC Benfica v MP Highlanders; Mashateni: ELB Movers v FC Henemat; Mhluzi: Middelburg Saints v FC Barcelona; Mbalenhle: Secunda Eagles v FC Sporting; Leandra: Leandra v Winners; Mhluzi: Walter Stars v Sekhukhune Masters.

Sunday

Kriel Springbok: Black Aces v Barberton City Stars.
