The Mpumalanga Safa Ehlanzeni region invites all coaches of teams playing in the Vodacom and SAB Regional leagues to a one-day coaching workshop at KaNyamazane Stadium on Thursday.

Simon Phiri Ngomane, who will lead the workshop, said: "It is important for the coaches to attend the workshop for the betterment of football development in the region.

"For a start we are targeting teams in these two leagues. Then next time we will extend it and invite local football associations' coaches."

The workshop will have practical and theory components.

Kas Kas Lundu, coach of Vodacom side MP Highlanders, welcomed the initiative.

"I will also attend. It is good for coaches to share ideas."

Lundu said most players in the region are skilful but lack tactical nous because of the scarcity of good coaches. The workshop will start at 2pm.
