A 2010 events coordinator is taking the government to court after he was sacked last week, two months after his appointment.
Differ Mogale, 38, above, was appointed by the Mbombela municipality in Mpumalanga and his contract expires in 2011. He was allegedly appointed "unprocedurally" by the municipal manager Jacob Dladla.
"If they think I will take this lying down, they have another think coming," Mogale said.
Vusi Sibiya, the municipal spokesman, said the municipality " would defend itself".
Dladla said he could not comment on the matter until it had been settled in court.
