A group that lost the bid to build Durban's 2010 World Cup stadium is taking the matter to court.

Michael Sutcliffe, eThekwini's municipal manager, said on Saturday that this would not affect the building of the stadium.

"The court will listen to the matter in a week's time."

The tender was awarded to Group Five, which is co-owned by businessman Tokyo Sexwale. - Sapa
