Nobuhle Ndlebe's prayers have finally been answered.
After a year-long fight with the Gauteng Health Department, Ndlebe, pictured right, will finally bury her twin babies on Sunday.
The long-awaited funeral of Ndlebe's twin boys - Lindokuhle and Lindelani - will take place in Mzimkhulu in KwaZulu-Natal.
Ndlebe, who had to wait for almost two years to bury her children, could not hold back her tears when speaking to Sowetan yesterday.
"God has finally answered my prayers. After the pain I have been through, God has finally answered my prayers."
Ndlebe's anguish began in October 2005 after a mix-up at the Natalspruit Hospital that led to one of Ndlebe's babies being mistakenly giving to a woman from Bergville, in KwaZulu-Natal.
The family from KwaZulu-Natal unwittingly buried Lindokuhle in June last year, thinking he was their baby.
What followed was a series of sleepless nights, heartache and anguish for Ndlebe.
But yesterday the Gauteng Health Department, which was the cause of Ndlebe's anguish, met her at their offices in Germiston.
This is where the issue about her alleged lawyer was resolved.
They then proceeded to the Boikhutsong Burial Parlour, where Lindelani's body has been stored and finalised the funeral arrangements.
Undertaker Salome Ledwaba said that department officials visited the parlour and asked for a quotation for the burial.
"The total costs are R13450, and I faxed the quotation yesterday afternoon."
With the funeral finally arranged, Ndlebe will have the closure she has been waiting for.
