Four men, two of them policemen, appeared in the Kimberley regional court yesterday over the assault of Tsitsikama mineworker Jafta Pitso Molahlehi in April last year.

Four men, two of them policemen, appeared in the Kimberley regional court yesterday over the assault of Tsitsikama mineworker Jafta Pitso Molahlehi in April last year.

Chris Visser, 28, and Dirk Leanardos Mitton, 28, from Kimberley were charged with attempted murder. The two policemen, Captain Arie Gerhardus Duvenhage and Inspector Willem Legoshe, were charged with defeating the ends of justice.

The case was postponed to February 27.

Visser and Mitton earlier received bail of R10000 each and the two policemen bail of R1000 each. - Sapa
