The Ratlou municipality, near Delareyville in North West, is facing collapse after its municipal manager and chief financial officer resigned.

Most villages in the area lack access to water. Community empowerment and infrastructure development projects have collapsed.

Ratlou mayor, Gaopalelwe Setlhogo has blamed his predecessor for the lack of development. The municipality has approached the MEC for developmental local government and housing, Phenye Vilakazi, for assistance. - Vuyolwethu Sangotsha
