The Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Rights Commission (CRLRC) yesterday decried what it said was an "animal rights group bullying our democracy".
The commission's chairman, Mongezi Guma, said they were concerned at the "high level of ignorance" among South Africans regarding each other's beliefs and customs. He was reacting to the SPCA's investigation into Tony Yengeni's slaughtering of a bull at a cleansing ceremony in Cape Town to mark his release from jail.
