In their presentation to support the Tobacco Products Control Amendment Bill, the MRC said 15 billion cigarettes were sold daily worldwide.

Non-smokers have been exposed to deadly fumes, especially in public, for a long time. If the law is passed, smokers may be banned from smoking in doorways or next to open windows.

The government's proposal to toughen the smoking laws should be encouraged.

Efforts have to be made to discourage smokers from using the deadly stick.

The country cannot afford so many unnecessary deaths every year.
