The Harare high court will today consider if the Zimbabwean government acted legally in stripping publishing mogul and Mail & Guardian boss Trevor Ncube of citizenship.

Ncube, Zimbabwean by birth, said the registrar general, who is responsible for issuing passports, wanted him to renounce his "Zambian citizenship" - which Ncube denies holding.

The Zimbabwean government has warned Ncube that he will be stripped of his passport if he sets foot in the country of his birth again.
