SuperSport United and AmaZulu played to a 1-1 draw in a Castle Premiership encounter at Princess Magogo Stadium yesterday.

The game started on a high note with both teams dishing out excellent football that was spoiled by windy weather at times.

United created better scoring opportunities in the first five minutes than their hosts.

As early as the second minute of the game referee Zolile Mthetho awarded United a free kick on the edge of the box. Katlego Mashego headed wide from the resultant kick.

Usuthu went ahead in the 12th minute when striker Litha Ngxabi beat United goalkeeper Andre Arendse after collecting a pass from Nkosana Qaba. The home side led 1-0 at the interval.

The visitors came back in the second half after the introduction of Dane Klate for Mashego in the 50th minute.

United's Sibusiso Mahlangu immediately equalised with a grass cutter from the left wing, beating AmaZulu keeper Kamoko Camara. United continued to harass AmaZulu but found the goal minder in top form.
