Senior IFP member Stanley Dladla has appealed for calm ahead of the court appearance of five men accused of killing Umvoti acting municipal manager, Sydney Sikhakhane.

Sikhakhane, 36, died after he intervened in a brawl between the suspects and a security guard at the Merthley Lake resort.

The fight erupted after the suspects allegedly accused resort employees of stealing their cellphones.

The accused, three of whom are brothers, will appear in the Greytown magistrates' court on Friday . - Canaan Mdletshe
