Thoko Malwa, coach of the Mpumalanga Under-21 women's soccer squad, is confident that his charges will beat the German Under-21 national squad.

The teams battle it out in a friendly match at KaNyamazane Stadium, near Nelspruit, today at 3pm.

Said Malwa: "Our preparations went very well. All the players are ready to die for the team on the field of play.

"No one is nursing any injury and that gives us an advantage. We're spoiled for choices when selecting the starting lineup."

Mpumalanga assembled last Friday in preparation for the match. The Germans could not be reached for comment at the time of going to press.

Entrance to the game is free.
