When Christopher "Tsunami" Katongo left Jomo Cosmos to join Danish giants Brondby, many people thought Ezenkosi will go through a goal drought.

But Dikgang Mabalane and company went to Milpark Stadium last Sunday to prove that Cosmos were not a one-man team.

They made the expensively assembled Bidvest Wits look ordinary, hammering Cyril Ramaphosa's club 4-0 to maintain the winning momentum.

Mabalane will be looking to repeat the performance when they take on Kaizer Chiefs in a Castle Premiership match at Orkney Stadium on Sunday.

Jomo Sono, Cosmos' owner-coach, is more worried about facing Amakhosi with striker Kaizer Motaung Jnr scoring goals like it's going out of fashion.

Motaung has rattled the net seven times to date.

"It will be a difficult match, Chiefs are on song now," said Sono.

"We are more worried about Kaizer Motaung Jnr. The youngster has been doing well lately and is also scoring crucial goals for Chiefs.

"Chiefs also have [Siyabonga] Nkosi, he is also dangerous. We just have to keep a close eye on whoever they will field on Sunday."

Bobby Motaung, Chiefs' manager, said they were out to grab maximum points to intensify their challenge for the championship title.

"We are gearing ourselves for a hell of a tough one against Cosmos, Jomo has given us problems in the last few matches.

"We need to up the gear for our challenge for the league. Our plan is to win the match to stay in the race for the championship," said Motaung, whose club drew their last four games against Cosmos.

The sides drew 2-2 in the first round with Katongo scoring both goals for Ezenkosi, while Shaun Bartlett and Motaung levelled matters for Chiefs.
