AmaZulu have hailed the arrival of Bennet Mnguni and Lucky Mzizi at the club, but it remains to be seen if they will manage to help Usuthu against SuperSport United on Sunday.
The resurgent United visit battling AmaZulu in a Castle Premiership clash that many people see as a mismatch at Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu at 3.45pm.
Mnguni and Mzizi are on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs until the end of the season.
The match is crucial for the hosts who are desperate for a win to enhance their chances of moving away from the foot of the table.
James Dlamini, AmaZulu operations manager, said they hoped new signings will play a crucial role in the side's quest to turn the tide.
"Bennet and Lucky are good players, otherwise we would not have brought them to the team," said Dlamini.
He also said Congolese striker Patrick Apataki was likely to join the Brazilians as part of a swap deal.
Sunday's match will see the return of United goalkeeper Andre Arendse, who has completed a one-month ban by the Premier Soccer League, for ill discipline.
United are favourites after beating Chiefs 2-0 and Moroka Swallows 1-0 in their opening games of the year. David Skosana, United's spokesman, said they will not undermine AmaZulu.
