Acting Judge Johan Pistor warned six bogus policemen that he would postpone their case for the last time in the Mmabatho high court yesterday.

Some of the accused had pleaded with the judge for a postponement because they were still waiting for their legal representatives.

The accused are Richard Mtshise, 39, of Doringpoort, Pretoria, Jack Ramakgasha, 49, Simon Mongale, 31, Shadrack Mafika Mngoma, 57, Godfrey Nkgweng, 38, all from Mamelodi, and Patric Mogajane, 55, from Dennilton, near Pretoria.

They allegedly robbed a pension payout point at GaMotlatla village outside Ventersdorp on January 29 2004 and stole R660770 meant for pensioners after surprising Fidelity Springbok guards.

They were dressed as policemen.

"Next time bring your lawyers," said Pistor.

Mtshise, Mongale and Mogajane are out on a warning, and Ramakgasha, Mngoma and Nkgweng were remanded in custody because of other charges pending but not related to the case.

They are each charged with one count of robbery, one count of possession of firearms without licences, possession of ammunition, impersonating police officers and possession of suspected stolen goods. Their case was postponed to March 5.

Pistor said he would proceed with the case whether or not the accused had legal representation.
