Dynamos have renewed ties with their former coach Anteneh Eshete as part of a concerted effort to revive their hopes of winning promotion to the Castle Premiership in May.

July Malabela, Dynamos' boss, said the 41-year-old Ethiopian mentor has signed a contract with the Mvela Golden League campaigners that will keep him in Giyani until the end of the season.

Eshete will be on the bench when Dynamos tackle City Pillars in a Limpopo derby in NkowaNkowa on Sunday.

He will be assisted by top Limpopo development coach Jerry Ramohlale, who was brought in after Dynamos gave Jacob "Cellular" Sakala and Lefa Gqosha the boot a fortnight ago.

"Our search for a coach is over and we are all excited to have reunited with Eshete. He is a good coach and I have confidence in him that he will deliver positive results," Malabela said yesterday.

Eshete, who also coached Dynamos while they were still campaigning in the top flight under Peter Rabali's ownership, is adamant the Dynamites will explode in the second round of the league.

"I watched them against PJ Stars and they still have players that I worked with in the team. I know what to expect from them," said Eshete, who is also the Ethiopian Football Federation coaching instructor.

University of Pretoria continued with their electrifying form when they strolled to a 3-0 win over OR Tambo District Cosmos at Walter Sisulu University in another match played on Sunday.

Pillars scored two unanswered goals against Fidentia Rangers at the University of Stellenbosch Stadium.

Other results on Saturday:

GaRankuwa United 2, Witbank Spurs 1; Durban Stars 2, Western Province United 0; Vasco da Gama 2, Winnerspark 1.
