A 33-year-old Ingwavuma regional court prosecutor, Dumisani Roy Makhaye, was yesterday granted R5000 bail by the Richards Bay magistrates' court for allegedly accepting bribes with a promise of clearing traffic fines.
It is alleged that the money the offenders paid to Makhaye was never paid to the state coffers and no receipts were offered. Makhaye will reappear in court on Wednesday.
