Joint Currie Cup champions the Bulls are ready for the Super 14 that kicks off on February 2, said manager Wynie Strydom yesterday.

"Our training camp from December 3 to 22 in George last season went smoothly and was a great success in terms of shaping the boys.

"[Coach] Heyneke Meyer and his troops have been doing mostly fitness training and everybody was cooperative throughout the training sessions," said Strydom.

"The players are now fit as a fiddle and ready for their crucial opening derby against the Sharks in Durban on February 3."

Strydom confirmed they have signed the former Lions trio of Wikus van Heerden, Wayne Julies and Nicholas to strengthen the team.

The Bulls tackle their junior side on January 18 at Loftus and entertain the Lions two days later.
