It is very unfortunate that Kganyago, while heading Sasco and the youth league, was "treated with contempt and disdain by other youth in leadership positions" because he called unruly comrades to order.
I wonder how this disorder surpassed internal grievance resolution procedures.
I find it problematic that he left the youth structure to wash dirty linen in public and drag the names of ANC deputy president Jacob Zuma and Cosatu president Willie Madisha into his bitter squabble with a villain called Terror.
Concerned political watchdogs do not resolve issues of the movement in such a personal manner. There is a need to mentor and guide all structures of the movement so that comrades do not take political differences personally.
It is common knowledge that the voices of protest and discontent have been allowed to supersede the political significance of dialogue and constructive engagement. And this is where the challenge is the greatest.
