Though everyone should take responsibility, the education ministry should take a huge chunk of the blame for treating our children as lab rats with its yo-yo education policies.

It seems like we are hopping from one policy to another without success - from curriculum 2000 to OBE, which leaves our educators as confused as their learners.

Talk of the blind man leading the blind. One educator retorted that even their seniors do not know how to carry out an assessment, which leads to the procedure failing.

A blanket approach starting at the lower levels should be undertaken to address the problem.
