The murder case of the Mpumalanga woman accused of killing her two-week-old baby was postponed to next Friday for further police investigation.

Ntsako Mashaba, 20, of Madras village near Hazyview, was not asked to plead in the Mkhuhlu magistrates' court and was reman- ded in custody until January 12.

Mashaba was arrested on December 26 for allegedly killing her baby girl after neighbours and relatives became suspicious and raised the alarm about the missing baby. Mashaba has no parents and claims not to know the identity of the father of her baby.
