ANCYL have become villains

The ANC youth structures, and in particular the ANC Youth League, have turned from being heroes of the young to being despised villains.

The ANC youth structures, and in particular the ANC Youth League, have turned from being heroes of the young to being despised villains.

Their behavior is unbecoming of our future leaders. The first time I experienced ANCYL's hatred was when I was a student participating in student politics in early 2003.

Though I headed Sasco and the youth league, I was treated with contempt and disdain by the other youths in leadership position because I was vocal in calling unbecoming comrades to order.

They did not respect protocol or the constitution unless it was in their favour. You could not voice your opinions without being verbally assassinated or even manhandled.

I remember a conference for the union of SRCs in Braamfontein, Johannesburg. Because I called a comrade to order for being disrespectful, I was manhandled by a villain called Terror. This same person is always at the forefront, showing his support for Jacob Zuma and disrupting structures that he does not agree with.

If our future is in the hands of these imbeciles, I am better off having left the youth structure. As for our country, all I can do is pray because we are surely going to the dogs. I am saying this as a concerned political watchdog, to all the Terrors and Madishas who are busy eliminating opponents out of office.
