The incident happened on Swartkoppies Road near the R59 around 9am.
"The truck driver said as he turned left from the freeway onto Swartkoppies the truck lost its load.
"Nine drums, each with 20litres of a chemical called 'stabilizer', fell onto the lane," police said.
The truck driver was fined R500 for carrying an unsafe load. - Sapa
