Rowdy behaviour is unacceptable

It is completely unacceptable for the general membership of the ANC, ANCYL and the ANC's alliance partners to engage in rowdy behaviour such as booing and howling to express their unhappiness or dissatisfaction about a particular issue.

It is completely unacceptable for the general membership of the ANC, ANCYL and the ANC's alliance partners to engage in rowdy behaviour such as booing and howling to express their unhappiness or dissatisfaction about a particular issue.

I find this behaviour to be damaging because it is anarchistic and obstructive and sets a bad precedent.

No matter how genuine a contention might be, the manner of any ensuing protest must be such that it does not undermine the culture of the movement and its organisational repute.

Seemingly the tendency to throw insults and labels at each other has replaced the tradition of dialogue and constructive engagement in the movement to divert attention away from debate.

This is not the way to deal with issues within the movement. It defeats the movement's political objectives and paralyses the organisation.

I do not know what has happened to the organisational democracy and discipline in the movement which used to be observed in such a way that the greatest objective was achieved in any given situation.

There is definitely a need to mentor and guide all structures of the movement.
